Listed Grade II (1781) - The lock and weir are at the western end of Frodsham Cut, part of the Weaver Navigation, where it rejoins the River Weaver. They were designed by Robert Pownall and George Leigh, and have since been modified. The lock is built in brick and stone. There are double lock gates in timber, now derelict, and 20th-century sluice gear in steel and concrete.[38]
