19 August 2026: A HYROX competition consists of eight 1km runs, each followed by a functional fitness challenge: 1,000m SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, 80m burpee broad jumps, 1,000m rowing, a 200m farmer’s carry with two 16kg kettlebells, 100m walking lunges with a 10kg sandbag, and finally 100 wall balls using a 4kg medicine ball – all in under 90 minutes!

19 August 2026: After last year’s free community event in Castle Park, the Food and Drink Festival came back bigger and with a huge variety of cuisines from Africa, Asia and Europe from pies, pasties, pizza and pastries to wine and beers, hog roast, Gelato and Cheshire Cheeses – and so much more.
19 August 2026: In June, the first of 3 new blue plaques was installed outside Main Street Community Church, the work of Dr Kath Gee in conjunction with Pastor Paul Wintle. Also present at the unveiling was Sue Lorimer, Chair of Frodsham & District History Society.
19 August 2026: Year 6 students marked the end of their primary journey with an unforgettable 3 day trip to London.
19 August 2026: Castle Park Arts Centre celebrated its 40th anniversary with a free exhibition in the centre between 30th June and 8th August 2026, highlighting its achievements and telling the story of the artist community coming together to create an Arts Centre in a heritage building.
