Do you fancy having a go at scything?
This Saturday, Hob Hey Wood Friends Group will be giving their meadow its first scythe of the year. This is a really old, very effective method of cutting a meadow. Interesting and fun to learn.
We scythe the meadow to remove nutrients to make it a more suitable habitat for wildflowers. Due to our efforts over the past few years, the meadow is developing well and hosting a huge amount of wildlife in the process.
We're meeting at the meadow at 09:30 AM on Saturday, 25th April, all are welcome, and training will be provided.
