WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BE A RINGER?

How long does it take to learn?
This is different for everyone. Some people can learn how to ring a bell on their own and then Join the rest of the band in a few weeks, others a few months. Once you've got the bug, there's no stopping you! The learning process of bell handling is similar to learning to ride a bike, once you've done it, you won't forget It There are so many different attributes to ringing that you'll never get bored, and you never really stop learning about it.

Do you have to be physically fit? 
Not particularly. However, change ringing is a good example of moderate, all round exercise It tests both mental and. for those who want to, physical stamina and agility. 

When do we ring?
We practice on a Friday evening from 19 45-21.00, to which everyone is welcome. We also ring for Sunday morning services from 09:30-10:00. as well as weddings and national events, for example Remembrance. We also take part in local and national competitions. outings and social events, such as quizzes etc

Can I learn to ring?
The more the merrier. Anyone is always welcome to learn how to ring, or just to come and see what we do!
