On Saturday 31 January 2026 There is a beginners bobbin lace day for North Cheshire Lacemakers Group at Frodsham Community Centre, Frodsham, Cheshire (WA6 7QN) from 10am to 4pm.
The course is for anyone who has not made bobbin lace before (or who is looking to improve their bobbin lacemaking skills). The Community Centre has a large car park and is 5 minutes from J12 of the M56 and a 10 – 15 minute walk from Frodsham railway station.
The cost for the day is £25 (£22.50 for NCLG members), this includes threads for the project and loan of equipment on the day for anyone who doesn’t already have lacemaking equipment. The course fee includes drinks and biscuits on the day but you will need to bring your own lunch and mug. When the course ran the day last year we were joined by 4 complete beginners to lacemaking who all successfully completed the project in the day.
