These cottages have 17th century origins and contain some oak framing. As can be seen from this photograph taken circa 1900 little has changed over the past century except their colour.
The cottages were restored in 1980.
Listed Grade II (17th century) - A row of three timber-framed cottages, pebbledashed on the front, and with rebuilt brick gables at the ends. The roof is slated, and the windows are casements. No. 53 has a jettied gable, and inside No. 55 is an inglenook.
